  • We Heart Pistola Denim

    Posted on September 28, 2018.

We are currently loving ourselves some Pistola denim! This bold, Los-Angeles based brand is all about the moment — the moment you’re living in, and the moment their denim creates. We love all of their pieces, but if we HAD to choose, these are our faves:

-The Studded Denim Skirt is that skirt that you can wear, no matter where you want to go. Featuring an unfinished hem and stud detail along the waist and pockets, this skirt defines casual chic. Flattering and fashionable, this skirt won’t let you down.

-The Black Jean is our fall go-to for being a bombshell without even trying. Featuring a frayed hem and ripped detail at the knee, these jeans keep things low-key. However, you can totally dress these babies up, as black goes with everything, and the cut is flattering without being too tight. Ugh, is there anything we don’t love about these jeans?

-Just in case you’re worried about being basic, we have the perfect denim jacket for you. We promise you won’t get lost in the crowd in the Star Denim Jacket. Featuring super-cute star detail and a raw hem, this denim is something different. For the fashion-forward girl, this jacket is everything that’s been missing from your wardrobe.

All of these gorge Pistola pieces are now available at Blush!

  • Cute & Comfy For Fall

    Posted on September 25, 2018.

As much as we may complain about the cold weather months, there’s something special about fall, and getting to snuggle into our fave warm (yet chic) sweatshirts. After all, who says you can’t be warm and trendy at the same time?! Here’s a few of the cutest sweatshirts currently in at Blush:

Our Tie Up Hooded Sweatshirt is a lovely cream color and features tie-up detail along the front, just to keep things fashionable. This one also has a hood for when it gets a little chilly out. A must-have!

The Crew Neck Sweatshirt by Elan is all that and more. At first glance, simply a gray sweatshirt, this piece is made fabulous with ribbon and ruching detail along the sleeves. This one is super sweet!

And our Basic Pullover Hoodie is coming for a spot as a staple in your fall wardrobe. This hoodie is great with everything from denim to leggings. In a cool green color and with clean seams for a more feminine look, there’s nothing basic about this hoodie.

The best part? This is just a little sample of all the fall gear we have available online. Check out the rest of our trendy fall threads on the website!

  • 2018 Emmys: In Love With Pink

    Posted on September 24, 2018.

We’re catching up with fashion from the 70th annual Emmys, which aired on September 17th, and these gowns are giving us a major pink crush. We break down how three women wore pink in three very lovely, but very different ways:

-The gorgeous Thandie Newton wore Brandon Maxwell to this year’s Emmys. She was a dream in a one-shouldered, bright pink column gown that flattered her slim figure. Well done, Thandie!

-Vanessa Kirby looked every bit the star in her Tom Ford gown. She also opted for a column dress, but hers with a halter neck, and in a muted rose hue. She absolutely slayed! No wonder we’re in love with pink right now.

-And Tracee Ellis Ross pulled all of the pink punches she could in her Valentino haute couture gown. This off-the-shoulder gown features balloon sleeves, and more voluminous layers of hot pink than you could ever dream of. And she pulled it off, solidifying our love for hot pink, maybe forever.

What were your favorite Emmy looks?

  • Obsessed With Lace

    Posted on September 19, 2018.

Out of all fabrics, lace is definitely one that transcends the seasons. But hear us out on why we love lace for fall: it’s delicate, regal, fancy, and light, all at once. Of course, we’ve selected a couple carefully curated pieces made with lovely lace, all currently available at Blush:

Our Lace High Neck Dress is a complete stunner, and features lace overlay, ruffle hem detail, and a perfect fit. This is perfect for fall... we’re thinking of pairing this one with a pair of knee-high leather boots and dangly earrings.

So cute for this season, our Button Down Silk Cami is a soft blue under a floral pattern, and features just the perfect amount of lace detail at the hems. This one is perfect with a great pair of jeans and some heeled boots. Grab this versatile piece while it lasts!

The great thing about fall fashion is that the weather is finally cool enough to wear pieces that are just a little bit dramatic. The Lucy Paris Lace Blouse is that piece! We’re in love with the balloon sleeves, high neck, and all-over lace detailing! Wear this one with leggings and boots, or with anything denim. Mix and match this blouse with anything — it’s the most fun addition to your fall wardrobe possible!

  • NYFW’s Amazing Street Style

    Posted on September 13, 2018.

This New York Fashion Week, which wound down this past Friday, was almost more amazing for what it had to show out in the streets than going down the runway. Street style of Fashion Week attendees aren’t going unnoticed, with unique combinations and bold confidence running New York throughout the duration of the shows.

Many women attending the shows wore bold, colorful pieces and piled on contrasting colors and details for looks that we’ve never seen before. The rainy weather brought out some jackets, but many were cut from fabrics off varying sorts, featuring everything from denim to velour. Color blocking, fun patterns, and white sneakers with EVERYTHING were all in appearance, as the women of Fashion Week looked uniquely comfortable yet inimitable and fearless in the way they styled themselves.

Cheers to the street fashion of NYFW... as we all know, this is where some of the best, most stylish inspiration comes from!

  • A Slice Of New York Fashion Week

    Posted on September 11, 2018.

If this year’s New York Fashion Week is any indication, next spring should be full of bright colors, brighter patterns, and neutrals with a fun twist. NY Fashion Week continues on until Friday, and we can’t wait to see what both established and up-and-coming designers have up their fashionable sleeves. From Prabal Gurung’s neon pieces to Clueless-style plaid from Carolina Herrera, Spring 2019 will be anything but predictable when it comes to fashion.

This year’s fashion shows are also making waves for other reasons. Apparently, Kendall Jenner has skipped town and gone to Paris instead of New York, missing fashion week. Cardi B and Nicki Minaj also alledgedly got into an altercation at one of this week’s events.

In better news, the lovely Lily Aldridge walked the runway for Brandon Maxwell with her 5-month baby bump, and a model with Downs Syndrome strutted down the runway for designer Talisha White.

We’re sure there’s only more to come, both in terms of fashion and news, so stay tuned for more fashion week coverage!

  • The Blonde Wedding

    Posted on September 6, 2018.

Lots of people get married every year. But some weddings stand out just a little bit more than others. This past weekend, super influential blogger Chiara Ferragni (aka The Blonde Salad) wed Italian rapper Fedez in Italy, in a wedding that was more fashionably influential than most (some are even saying more so than the Royal Wedding of earlier this year, although to be fair, Meghan Markle is also not a fashion blogger). Yep, the blonde bride wore two different haute couture Dior gowns throughout the day, and Chiara’s social media posts on her Dior gowns generated roughly $1.6 million in sales for Dior. If we’re counting, the entire wedding generated about $5 million in respective sales for Dior. So we ask, what picturesque gowns did the bride walk the aisle in that made Instagram go into overdrive?

The answer is, a more classic look than you might think. Chiara wore a high-neck lace bodice with a flowing, full tulle skirt. It was completely stunning, and words don’t do the dress justice. Her reception gown was no less amazing: she wore a soft pink tulle gown, which (get this!) had the lyrics to the song that Fedez proposed to Chiara in, embroidered onto the dress. Just wow. As if that wasn’t enough, the full skirt converted into a ballet-style, shorter tulle skirt once the festivities were in full swing (it was a carnival theme.. how fun!). Whew!

We wish the couple all the happiness and wedded bliss, and can’t wait to see some honeymoon pictures, although we’re not sure anything can top this wedding!
