Season of the Stripes
Posted on March 29, 2018.
Spring is in the air (at least here in Miami), and although we’re obvi excited to break out our florals, we’re even more excited for understated yet always trendy stripes. We have lots of this simply stylish print in stock; here are a couple of our favorite ways to wear this print for spring:
-Our Strapless Top + Slit Wide Leg Pants come in the form of a flowy tube top with button-down detailing, and an elastic waist pant with a dramatic slit down each of the wide-cut legs, both in a blue & white striped print that are part nautical, part fabulous.
-Not your mother’s stripes, our Slit Leg Jumper is a trendy black and white stripe print, and features a dramatic V-neck and possibly even more dramatic slit along the leg. This one isn’t for the faint of heart!
-Our Front Knot Tank features self-tie straps, a sweetheart neckline, and a romantic pink stripe print. We’re loving the feminine silhouette against the simple print, and we’re pairing this top with everything from jeans to miniskirts to our matching-print Wrap Pants.
-Our Lace-Up Romper is another gem. This long-sleeve romper laces up along the front and comes in a delicate rose-pink stripe print. The subtle stripe print pairs perfectly with the soft lines of the romper. Absolutely perfect for a date night.
All of these looks are currently available at Blush! Let us know your favorite way to wear your stripes!
Spring Nail Trends
Posted on March 13, 2018.
As they say, March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a mouse. Well, we are more than anything hoping that it comes in like winter, and leaves like spring. Yep, spring is on the horizon, and we couldn’t be more ready for sunshine, cute spring fashions, and of course, brand new beauty trends! We came across some nail designs that are so fresh for spring, and that we’re absolutely obsessed with, and of course, we’d like to share these looks with you:
-For a really unique look, try a circle in the middle of a pop of color, all on your nails! Paint your nails a fresh spring color, like a bold peach or a sunflower yellow. Take a striping brush and make a circular shape with white nail polish, right in the middle of your nail. Boom! You have the most unique nails out of all of your friends, by a long shot.
-Try a cool gradient look in two colors that can kinda blend into each other for a really fun look. Paint the top third of your nail the first color, and the bottom third the second color. In a small dish, mix the two colors with some base coat, and fill in the middle section of the nail with that mixture. Cover the entire nail in a top coat. Last step? Flaunt your nails!
-Try a fun take on a French manicure by painting some colored stripes on the tips of the nails. Paint your nails clear, then use tape to establish straight lines and paint in with the colors of your choice (the bolder, the better!). Tip: wait until one line dries before putting tape over it to paint the next line. Just like that, you have the freshest French manicure anyone’s ever seen!
Blush's Best Dressed At The Oscars
Posted on March 8, 2018.
Yass! Awards season continues, with none other than the Academy Awards taking place this past Sunday. And while we were definitely excited to see the big winners of the evening, we also had our own winners chosen… for their amazing fashion choices, of course! Here are our picks:
-Yes, we love men’s fashion too! “Get Out” star Daniel Kaluuya stunned in a bronze velvet blazer by Brunello Cuchinelli. A classic bow-tie and trousers supported his get-up, but some say the magic of Daniel’s look was in his face. He wore Fenty Beauty (the makeup line by Rihanna that recently took the world by storm) foundation, which left a subtle glow that, when paired with his perfect smile, definitely gets him the gold for best face of the night.
-Usual suspect Zendaya blew us all away with the sheer perfection of her look. She wore a Giambattista Valli Couture chocolate colored chiffon gown. Some features of her dress were an asymmetrical neckline, and one flowy sleeve. She looked like a goddess! Between her exposed shoulders and beautiful jewelry, she absolutely killed it. We see you, Zendaya!
-The beautiful Margot Robbie left us speechless in a Chanel Haute Couture gown, designed by none other than Karl Lagerfeld himself. And this gown pulled all the stops (and took over 600 hours to make). But looking at Robbie on Oscar night clearly made it all worth it. This form-fitting white column dress featured a corset bodice with draped bands of crystal tubes accenting the front of her dress, as well as her shoulders. Add in Robbie’s signature smile, and you have an epic Oscars look on your hands. Bravo, Margot!
